We discover that education is not something that the teacher does, but that it is a natural process which develops spontaneously in the human being.

Beth Bitts

Hello! Welcome to Montessori Nurture. I’m so glad you’ve found me. I’m Beth Bitts and I love working with parents and children. I started my career as a social worker, became a mom to two boys and then became a Montessori teacher. I continue to be amazed at how spot on accurate Dr. Montessori was in her understanding of children’s abilities, needs and in how the adults in their lives should assist them as they grow and learn. I really want to help others learn the amazing abilities of young children and how to help them become competent adults. I also love to assist parents and caregivers learn how to set up their homes and spaces for children and how to interact and talk with their children to minimize frustration. Parenting can be a wild ride, I’m glad you’re joining me during your journey.

Beth received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Millersville University in 1992. She worked in the child welfare field for many years until she became interested in eduction due to her own children’s unique learning needs.
